BIG NEWS: DECEMBER 28TH, 2013!!!

For the last 9+ months I have been creating my most impressive work yet. With the collboration of my handsome and talented husband Fish McGill we created our son, Rye Gardner McGill.

Rye was born on Saturday, December 28th at 3:54 in the afternoon, the sunlight was glorious that day. Rye was given his middle name, Gardner after the Isabella Stuart Gardner Museum, where Fish and I got engaged in 2009.

It's Time to Book Summer Portraits!

I know I say this all the time but when I photograph the same children each year, it is crazy to compare how much they have changed since our last photo session. Note to parents: Hire a professional photographer to document your children, the years go by too quickly!!

This was another awesome photography session with Kate and Alex, two of my most favorite subjects. We decided to change things up this year and head to, you guessed it, The Arnold Arboretum, where I have been spending a lot of my days. There is so much to see and do there, the girls had a blast, especially when we discovered this cool hidden bridge at the base of Hemlock Hill.

Rhododendron Ramble

It sure is hot out today! Come on by the Arnold Arboretum from 1:00-3:00pm and hang out in the shady Rhododendron Dell with me where I will be hosting another photography workshop.

The Rhododendron Dell is located at the foot of Hemlock Hill and it is the perfect time to see the Rhododendrons in bloom. The fantastic Arboretum crew will be hosting guided tours for adults and a haiku hike for families, kids art and science activities, and there is even a scavenger hunt for prizes! Click here to view the official information page.

Don't forget to bring your camera or iPhone!
